El Paso

Sisters eating strawberries at the fire place

Gabriella was so tired she fell asleep with a dvd on her face:-p

Adelynn's room

We got the girls new ride on toys and took them for a walk with them. They love their new toys and ride them all around the house.

Adelynn's first night in a toddler bed. She want straight to sleep and has done well ever since. She loves that she can get out and play with all her toys in the morning!

This just doesn't give justice to how massive this truck is!

Gabriella is wondering how all our stuff really fit on the truck!

One week later the moving truck arrived! Adelynn is looking at the amazingly huge truck in front of our house.

The girls needed something to do and we didn't have swim suits so they played on a new slip n slide in our beautiful back yard.

Our first dinner in our new house! NOTE: we have only the stuff we brought in our car! We borrowed a table and chairs and cookware from the Army and the previous homeowners left their refridgerator, washer and dryer. It was fun not having stuff for a week!

Billy HATES El Paso!.....poor Billy:-( Actually, after he dried off and explored his new house he seems happier here than he was in San Antonio. He is even getting fat again!

This was Billy introduction to El Paso! I was at Walmart getting him cat food and this is what happened! (He WAS sticky from the Benedryl).

The homeowners handing over our new house! They gave us a tour, introduced us to the neighbors and then they were off to their new adventure in Colorado! They lived in this house for 15 years...since it was brand new and are moving in with one of their sons after retiring from the Army. Good luck to them and we thank them for a beautiful house:-)

STAIRS!!!!!

This wide load was in front of us and we thought it was funny. Do you know what this is? We don't...a bellybutton on the road?

The morning we left for El Paso was very eventful. We planned to wake up at 2:00 in the morning and be on the road by 2:30. We didn't think this plan through too well, because we forgot we would still need to drug the cat for taking him with us, finish loading up the car and worrying about all the things that might get left behind. We also didn't have a full tank of gas and wanted to get "breakfast" for on the road! Again, not well thought through! Giving a cat Benedryl with out a syringe is interesting. Billy was foaming at the mouth and not happy about the process of being given medicine. We were worried that since most of the medicine spilled he wouldn't sleep during the trip so we went to Walmart and picked up Benedryl tablets. Michael thought cats took pills like dogs do. So he put the tablet in Billy's mouth, held his mouth closed and blew in his nose...this works for a dog to swallow their pill in case you didn't know...Billy had no part of this endevor either though! But Mike held his mouth closed long enough for some of the pill to dissolve and we all hoped this would work. It worked and we were off - it was now 4:40am. The girls stayed awake for about the first hour or two of the trip and then slept for about 2 hours. We got out and stretched our legs and then got back in the car and were off for another 2 hours while the girls played (talked) and slept some more and then stopped again. It rained for a bit and we were all anxious to get into town to our new house. We stopped just outside El Paso to get some lunch and then arrived at our new house! The girls were trilled to see stairs in their new house!

Saying good-bye to San Antonio

Our last dinner out together before the move. We went to Maggiano's! YUM!

The girls playing rock band!

Miss Courtney gave Gabriella a very special going away present full of things she could play quietly in the car with on the long drive. We love you Hohimers:-)

Adelynn and Luke had a blast hanging out together.

Our small group at Brit and Michelle's. We grew very close to all these wonderful people and they will always have an extra special place in all our hearts.

More cousins to say good bye to. We went to eat dinner at La Fogata.

Our ABF (church) group at our farewell party. We miss them already.

Good bye cousin (he lives at the beach we went to and came to see us our last night there).

Hanging out at Brit and Michelle's house for a going away.

packing day/night

This picture does no justice to how crowded with boxes the garage was! We have too much stuff and that's after getting rid of a bunch! Yes, we went over our alloted weight:-/

Our car is all packed and ready to go. Side door open and ready for two little sleeping girls

"Hello!"

Adelynn thought it was great to have empty cabinets!

Another picture of the boxes in our living room

Gabriella's room packed and more boxes in the hallway.

Sorry this is sideways. It's our master closet full of boxes from our room and our clothes!

Lots more boxes in our kitchen.

Lots of boxes in our kitchen.

Our packed living room.

4th of July

Adelynn decided to watch from the chair.

Running back and forth pushing the stroller. Waiting for the fireworks! They were about an hour late!

Matching sisters taking a walk waiting for the fireworks

So pretty waiting for the fireworks

She dressed herself in red, white and blue.

The three girls all decked out in their red, white and blue!

This is how hot it was that day! So much for this crayon...

For the 4th of July we started the morning with a red, white and blue breakfast. The girls ate it all and loved it!

Last beach trip...for a while anyway

Gabriella got over her fear of jumping in and then we could never get her to stop. She's really learning how to swim this summer!

Feeding the seagulls. Adelynn called them duckies:-) She LOVES duckies!

But this was her favorite part of the pool. In and out of the pool on the stairs

Foating with Adelynn in the pool. She liked this much better

Waiting for lunch in the shade

This was a great game of bocce ball. There was a huge sand castle we were playing on it made a great course!

I'm up, but i'm not leaving this blanket!

Gabriella loved playing in the waves! She did it all day

This was my favorite part of the beach

This takes a lot out of a baby. This was Adelynn's favorite part of the beach

My little pearl:-)

We became so close so fast. We really will miss them, but we're so happy we had this opportunity to relax all together.

AHHHH!!!!!

Us with our friends the Kunoffs at Catfish Charlies

Gabriella pushing sister on the vallet cart

The week after father's day we went to the beach again. This time with some great friends! We stayed a couple days this time and played in the pool and on the beach a lot.

Farewell party for Gabriella

We had a going away pool party for Gabriella for her friends from school. Here all 4 girls that came were sitting on a pool float laughing. playing and just being little girls. It was great to see friends one last time before leaving. Notice all the girls have goggles on no one wanted to be left out:-)

Father's Day beach trip

She was so tired, but she only wanted her bed! So Michael made her mad with her car seat visor so she wouldn't be mad anymore about being in her car seat. It worked she fell right to sleep and slept all the way home!

So much fun in the sun she totally passed out on the way home

For Father's day this year we all went to the beach for the day. It was great! Too bad we never did it before, but it was definetly fun! Gabriella loved everything. She played in the waves with her daddy and built sand castles. Adelynn stayed on the blanket mostly. The waves scared her and the sand got her feet dirty, but she had fun watching:-)
